Road Construction

The Township Road Department will be working on

Fox Road and Walker Road beginning on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.

Road work will continue on these roads for approximately 1 month.

The bridge near Kunkle Park on Pine Run Road was closed on Monday, April 16, 2012,

and will remain closed during construction.  Construction should be completed in approximately 80 days.

After construction for the first bridge is complete, work will then begin on the Pine Run Bridge (SR 4034 E10)

on the other end of Pine Run Road in Allegheny Township.  See the following notice received from PennDOT on 3/22/2012

                         Bridge over Pine Run Allegheny Township Bridge Replacement – SR 4034 E10 – This project consists of the full replacement of the

                         existing structure and approach roadway.  The bridge will be replaced with a pre stressed concrete box beam structure.

                         One aerial utility relocation is anticipated to be needed to accommodate the construction. 

                         The new structure will be constructed on the existing horizontal and vertical alignments. 

                         Throughout construction, the existing structure on Route 4034 will be closed to traffic and a signed detour route will be posted. 

                         The contractor on this $801,401.44 project is Mingo Creek Construction the tentative completion date of this project is October 2012.

                         Update: The project is waiting on Right of Way to be cleared.

Local Income Tax

NOTICE TO ALL WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP/KISKI AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT RESIDENTS:

 A BERKHEIMER REPRESENTATIVE

WILL BE AT THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING CONFERENCE ROOM

TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH THE QUARTERLY FILING

OF THE LOCAL EARNED INCOME TAX

FOR THOSE RESIDENTS WHO DO NOT HAVE TAX WITHHELD FROM THEIR PAY.

BERKHEIMER WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM 3 P.M. - 6 P.M. ON:

future dates to be determined by Berkheimer.

(It currently appears that Berkheimer is planning to be at our building at the end of the 2012 year

since employers are now required to withhold local income tax.)

Local income tax forms can be obtained by

   contacting Berkheimer online by clicking on the Berkheimer link at this website.

 Residents can download a form or file on-line.

 Forms are also available at the Municipal Office.
